Data and Facts

California's and Solano County's teen birth rates dropped to record lows
in 2010, with the county numbers well below the state average, state
Department of Public Health officials said.

3 in 10 teen American girls will get pregnant at least once before age 20.
Thats nearly 750,000 teen pregnancies every year.

The United States has one of the highest teen pregnancy rates in the
western industrialized world.

Babies born to teen mothers are at higher risk of medical problems such
as low birth weight due to improper fetus growth and/or early delivery.

The babies of teen mothers are more likely to have disabilities due to
premature birth.

Also, the children of teen mothers are more likely to live in poverty, to
drop out of high school, and to become teen parents themselves.

The National Abortion Federation found that the average price for an
abortion (medical or surgical) performed between six and 10 weeks is
$350 at an abortion clinic and $500 at a doctor's office. At 16 weeks, the
average price rises to $650 at clinics and $700 at doctors' offices
