Instructions from the Football Committee


100 Tickets.
Each Person needs a ticket measuring 10cm by 5cm.

Draw and label the ticket


What is the perimeter of the ticket?
What is the area of the ticket?
If the tickets were laid end on end, how long would the line of tickets be?
How many square centimeters of paper would be used to make all of the
tickets?
If the paper for the tickets was 0.05 of a centimeter thick, and all of the tickets
were stacked on top of each other, how high would the pile of tickets be?
If each ticket had a mass of 0.5grams, how heavy would the tickets be all
together?
Write a brief report for the football club committee on your findings

MAILING THE TICKETS

The Football Committee has asked us to mail the tickets to them in box.
But.
The box has to be a certain size to fit in the mail!
The Football Committee has asked that the box be of the following dimensions
Length: 12cm
Width: 6cm
Height: 10cm

Draw and label the box


Find the area of the base of the box
Find the surface area of the entire box, including the lid
If the box weighs 10 grams and the tickets are put inside of it, how much will the whole
package weigh (remember to look back at you previous calculations)

If it costs $2 per gram to send the package with the tickets, what is the total cost to
send the package?
