For other questions, write your answer in the space provided. 10 15 20 Protect Hong Kong’s animals ‘Two years ago, William Suen Kai Yuen visited Africa to take photos of wild animals. ‘When he retumed to Hong Kong, he decided to set up an organisation to find out more about Hong Kong’s wild animals. He called this organisation the Wildlife Conservation Foundation (WCF). “There is very little research being done on Hong Kong’s wild animals,’ said William Suen. ‘Most people think that Hong Kong is too small to have any wildlife but they’re wrong. Hong Kong has lots of wild animals ... some quite big ones too.” For the past two years, William and six full-time assistants have been clambering up hillsides and along rocky streams in order to take photos of these animals. Many of the animals are very shy and only like to come out at night, so William uses hidden cameras to take photos. He has over 200 cameras hidden in the country parks around Hong Kong. “We have made some amazing discoveries over the past 18 months,’ said William. ‘A while ago, we found a yellow-bellied weasel in’ Pat Sin Leng Country Park — it was beautiful. Look! It has a lovely yellow stomach and it’s extremely rare. We also found a cctab-eating mongoose. Most people thought that this animal became extinct ten years ago.” William hopes that more and more people will become interested in protecting Hong Kong's animals. There are fewer and fewer places for animals to live in the China region, so it’s important that we look after these animals. Also, many of these animals are extremely rare, Unfortunately, not everyone agrees with William, Some people think that housing for people is more important than places for animals to live. Some also think that some of these animals are nuisance and they should be destroyed. ‘I think public education is very important,’ concludes William. “That’s one reason why the work of WCF is so important.’ ‘A Complete the following sentences using the words below.
