Comments:
I was very proud of the way my portfolio turned out. I my revisions readdressed the learning
outcomes in a more concise, yet thorough way. The biggest contributors to this were completing an
Internship seminar and the beginning portion of my job search. The reflection required by these two
tasks, in addition to finishing my winter quarter classes gave me more clarity in reflecting on the
growth I have made in the past two years overall. I think my portfolio, and particularly my
presentation, demonstrated this growth in a way that I could not have fully articulated a month ago.
Thus, I am satisfied with the way I was able to articulate my experience in the portfolio and the
presentation, including an analysis of all of the Learning Outcomes.
I did not give myself the full marks for the complete accomplishment because I think my
presentation could have gone deeper into more of my actual artifacts. I had expected to be asked
questions that were pointed at certain learning outcomes or artifacts, but it felt that my questions
remained pretty surface level. While I appreciated the sentiment behind the questions asked, I wish I
had been questioned more in a way that would give the work put into my portfolio a full stage to
shine. I think I went into my presentation assuming it would be similar to the one I had sat in on last
year, but I quickly realized the committee makeup and who my chair is heavily impact how the
presentation goes. The questions and discussion were mostly about me in my personal experience,
rather than the portfolio on the screen behind me. This being said, if I were able to do the
presentation again, I would be more pointed at drawing from more of my artifacts rather than
expecting this to come in the questions.
