The level of education in adults is lower than in the rest of Pima County.

Related goal: To increase the quality, availability, and effectiveness of educational and
community-based programs designed to prevent disease and injury, improve health, and
enhance quality of life (Healthy people 2020, 2016)

2014 RCT published in the American Journal of Infection Control


Intervention consisting of education about when and how to perform hand
hygiene and common communicable diseases and transmission
Resulted in a 37% reduction in absences due to illness
Results maintained through flu season (Azor-Martinez et al., 2014)
