This lesson is the second lesson in chapter 7: Matter- what is the matter? This lesson will cover the types of
matter which is solid, liquid and gas. They will focus in this lesson to observing the mater.

Teaching goal (State clearly what it is you plan to teach in this lesson

The overall aim of the lesson is to teach about how to observe matter especially solid things.

Learning objectives (State clearly exactly what you want the ss to be able to do by the end of
the lesson.

Students will be able to observe one kind of solid matter.


I put just one learning objective to focus more on it

Assumptions about prior learning (Mention what the ss know from previous lessons or their
experience eg The learners will have encountered or be familiar with or aware of...)

Students may know the meaning of the solid, liquid and gas.
Students already know the types of the liquid.

Anticipated problems and possible solutions (Mention problems and solutions related to

Ahmed is talking with his friend during the teacher explains for them the lesson the teacher will
change his seat.
Mohammed did not understand how to do the observation sheet the teacher will ask someone who
understand to explain for his.
Rashid is very shy and he hate to talk with other .... The teacher do a good reinforcement to encourage
them such as. " Ahmad is a good speaker "
Personal focus for this lesson (Based on your previous observed lesson, identify one or two
aspects that need improving. Eg. be more animated, monitor children more closely, provide
more challenging tasks etc)

I will focus to encourage Rashid to be confidence .


I am going to focus on time management . I only have 40 min to deliver this lesson .

The teacher will start the class by asking them about the day and the date.

T: Hello my lovely students. How are you today?

Teacher will engage the students to the lesson by show them a video to know each type of state
matter which is solid, liquid and gas. They already know about it but the teacher make for them
like a review.
At (1:35 minute ) the teacher will stop the video and ask them to repeat the word.
T: who can give me the example of the solid ?
S: book.
T: who can gave me the example of the liquid?
S: milk
T: who can gave me the example of the gas?
S: fire
T: today Inshallah we will know about how to observe the matter solid

This is the ( video ) which I use it in the engaging part to


engage my student to the lesson

Explore

The teacher will divide the students into 6 groups and each group have 4 students. She will give
to each group an instructions cards ( observation station recording sheet) with the pencils
and matter book, computer, ruler to do the observations with their group.
Lesson description:
Students are going to use their eyes and hands to observe matter. Which each two group will
take the same object.
Materials:
Observation station recording sheet, objects book, ruler, computer, pencil.
Computer for the high level students + book for the middle level students + ruler for the low
level students
Procedure:

1. The teacher will choose a leader for each group to guide their colleagues and to explain for them the
sheet.
2. She will give to each group the materials with the sheet.

Explain

Teacher will explain the meaning of the solid to the students. Solid is something that have color, size, shape and
we can draw it.

Elaborate

To check if the students understand the lesson or not. Teacher will give them a homework card to do it in their
home. This card includes one question.
( observe the table that you have it in the home?
The answer of this question will shows the teacher if they understand or not.

Evaluate

The last 10 minutes of the lesson. Teacher will take their sheet to correct it for them and give it to them
a report or feedback for their spelling and handwriting. The students wait teacher until gave them their
sheet.
