To Whom It May Concern:

Recognize yourself in he and she who are not like you and me. (Carlos Fuentes). My name is
Daniel, my family and i live Antelope, California. I am 15 years old and i go to Antelope High, i am in
10th grade with great academic grades. I do not play any sports in my school but, i do dance. Dancing
is apart of my life because it helps me express my feelings and have positive vibes. All around me is
only positivity and working hard throughout my life to succeed and be the best. Throughout the
articles based on the Syria crisis, i believe that Syrians needs our help and we should take the refugees
to a safer place like America.
The current situation in the Syria crisis is, if America should help assist Syrian refugees and let them
come over to America. Many Syrians have,"lack of medicine, food, clean water, sanitation and proper
housing" (Black) for them to survive during the destruction of the war. They have nothing that could
aid them through this monstrosity and no money to use. Also, all of the Syrians are, "About 13.8
million [that] have lost their source of livelihood" (Black) because their poverty was destroyed and
which meant to live on the streets with nothing on them. This problem is creating people to die and
starve to death because everything is gone and there is nothing to live for in Syria.
The refugees from now is way different than it was during WWII. In WWII, the amount of people that
had died was more than anyone can imagine, around 80 million people have died unlike in Syria,
"470,000 people have died as a result of the war." (Black). Furthermore, many Jews were allow to
come as refugees to America however, the Syrians are, "admit 10,000 Syrian refugees over the next
year." (Geller) because of fear of terrorism. The Syrians are different from the Jews because you will
never know if a terrorist from the Islamic state can just sneak in with the refugees to come to America
and plot something. Therefore, Syria has many differences with WWII throughout each war.
I disagree against the law making of the current decisions because it is not right to let the refugees stay
in a play where people can die in plain sight. In Syria, " 11 million Syrians have fled their homes for
safety, and more than 250,000 people have died" (Kusler) by just running away from fear and having
no supplies to aid each other. Many are suffering of lack of food and water which makes them die
throughout days having no one to help. The governors are,"helping Islamic State by showing that our
leaders want to turn away these desperate families" (Kusler) because they think we are scared to
interfere with the war. As we progress in not helping the refugees, the Islamic state will not stop to get
even stronger to fight against us because they believe we are too scared to fight them which makes us

look like fools for not helping the refugees. Therefore, concludes that the law making decision was the
wrong thing to do to help the refugees in Syria.
The main thing is that the refugees should be allow to come over to the US for they can be safe and be
alive.
The law making decisions should be denied because we are losing more and more people every single
second, we do not want the Islamic state to take over Syria. If i had a choice to create how senators to
vote, i would allow every single person to vote whether to let the refugees to come or not because its
more fair when everyone opinions is counted. Thank you for your time for reading my statement about
the Syria crisis, i hope this will make the governors reevaluate their decisions and best of luck.
