Activity Title:
Main concept, Goal of Activity: The children will split into groups to play an
Alphabet Bingo learning game.
Objective 1: The children will develop reasoning skills as they compare their
bingo card and the letter called aloud during the Alphabet Bingo Game.
Objective 2: The children will develop fine motor skills by manipulating colored
pom poms onto a bingo card while participating in the Alphabet Bingo Game.
Objective 3: The children will enhance skills of cooperation by sharing pom poms
with their group members while participating in the Alphabet Bingo Game.
5. I will explain that I will hold up my letter card and say the letter, they will look on their bingo
card for the matching letter and place a pom pom on the card. The first child to get a full card
will yell BINGO!
6. I will divide the children into 3 groups of 5.
7. Group 1 will use red pom poms, group 2 will use green pom poms, and group 3 will use
yellow pom poms, sharing from a pile in the middle of the table.
8. I will ask group 1 to find their table and sit down.
9. I will ask group 2 to find their table and set down.
10. I will ask group 3 to find their table and set down.
11. I will hold up each individual letter card and say it aloud, instructing the children to share
the poms poms with their friends and place on the letter if they find it on their card.
12. We will play until someone yells BINGO!
Conclusion: What will you do to conclude your lesson?
We will continue until everyone has had a turn yelling BINGO. I will ask the yellow group to
place their cards and pom poms in their cubby and line up on the feet, next the green group,
and then the yellow group, until every child is in line. We will then wash our hands for lunch.
Evaluation:
1. Did the children develop reasoning skills as they compared their bingo card
and the letter that I called aloud and showed during the Alphabet Bingo learning
game?
2. Did the children develop fine motor skills by manipulating colored pom poms
while participating in the Alphabet Bingo Learning Game?
3. Did the children enhance skills of cooperation by sharing pom poms with their
group members while participating in the Alphabet Bingo Game?
