Wellventions Thru-Tubing Retrievable Whipstock system is designed to
be run on coiled tubing, jointed pipe, or electric wireline and can be set
using industry-standard hydraulic or electric setting tools.
The whipstock has been designed to run through the existing production tubing and
set in a larger diameter casing or liner below. This allows for a casing window to be
milled below the existing production tubing, eliminating the need to recover the
tubing from the well.
The high expansion anchor arm securely anchors the whipstock within the casing.
A unique locking system helps to retain the setting force on the anchor, ensuring
the whipstock remains securely anchored in place during milling. A one-trip milling
system is then deployed on coiled tubing or jointed pipe to mill a window through
the casing or liner.
The whipstock can be retrieved from the well with the use of a specially-designed
hook type retrieval tool.
