Dear Families,
Hello! My name is Miss Steich and I am your childs student
teacher in Ms. Millers classroom. I will be working in your childs
class for the next 7 weeks. I am currently a senior at Rider
University and I am studying Elementary Education and English
with a minor in Special Education. I will be earning my bachelors
degree this May.
As a student teacher, I will be working closely with Ms. Miller to
plan and prepare lessons to teach the class. I will also be assisting
her during class instruction. Prior to working in Ms. Millers
classroom, I have worked in various other schools both assisting
and teaching lessons. This is the 6th classroom that I will be
working in during my undergraduate work. I will be completing my
final student teaching placement here at Johnson Park and I
couldn't be more thrilled!
My background with students includes working at a local daycare
and preschool in my hometown during breaks and over the
summer. I have been working with the preschool for 5 years and I
have definitely found my calling working with children.
Teaching and working with children is an absolute joy to me, and I
am so pleased to finally be able to work in a classroom full-time!
Part of my goal as an educator is to spark curiosity in the minds of
students. During my time in your childs class, I hope to excite
your child about the world of learning and broaden his or her
academic interests. In addition, I am looking forward to getting to
know your child and to be working with him or her throughout the
next 7 weeks!
