Throughout the lesson, Wulaa consistently questions students, asking varied and
pertinent questions to help consolidate understanding and to assess them as well.

Wulaa does an excellent job supporting student learning: she helps students come up
with answers independently, and she encourages the students to complete their tasks.

Students listen to Wulaa and they are very content working in her company.

Wulaa engages the students in active learning activities (eg. asks them to look/walk
around the class in order to identify certain shapes).

Wulaa evidently enjoys working with children, and teaching them. Her caring
demeanor and her (already) astute teaching skills will quickly contribute to make an
excellent teacher!

Wulaas MST has nothing but words of praise for her mentee! Her MST gave evidence
that Wulaa has been extremely helpful in the classroom from the get-go. She also
attested to Wulaas excellent relationships with her students, and to the high degree of
interest and initiative that Wulaa has demonstrated in the past few weeks. She says
that Wulaa has even been effective in helping with assessing the students in the
classroom.

Wulaas MST stated that she was surprised to hear that Wulaa was only a first
semester student! I too am happy to say that Wulaas perceptions, her decision
making skills and the impact she has had in this classroom go above the expectations
of a first semester Education student!
Areas for development:

Wulaa must make it a priority and a long term goal to improve her level of spoken
English. During the lesson, many grammar and pronunciation errors were heard. For
example:
- What is this? What is name? (should say Whats the name of this shape?)
- This a cylinder (should say This is a cylinder)
- Because it have two circle (should say it has)
- What is name? (should say What is its name?)
- A cube, its have six sides (should say it has six sides)

When students complete a task, make sure you assess (or summarize) their overall
learning before putting the task away (in todays lesson, the worksheet activity was
put away rather abruptly, without Wulaa or the children saying anything about it).

Also, its best to ask students to clean up immediately after an activity has ended (and
before the children go off on free time or free play).

Wulaa must continue practicing preventative management techniques with small
