Term Paper Description & Objectives
8 Point Economic Agenda
The objective of this major requirement is for the students to apply the economic
theories, principles and ideas they have encountered in this EC102 class. This is a
challenge to the students to gauge their understanding on the basics of Economics and
how this knowledge is the key to a sustainable economic growth for the Philippines. For
every page, they must point out the applied Economics lesson on the header. Example:
Increase sin taxes for Alcohol and Cigarettes (Economics on: Taxes). The group must be
comprehensive through a healthy mixture of original/personal insights and concrete ways
to apply it. If there is a need to cite references, cite them properly.
Group yourselves into 7-8 members per group. Assign each person to an Economic
Agenda. Provide yourselves with an interesting group name. The deadline for the
hardcopy of the paper will be during the day of the reporting.
Be creative. Be original. Give birth to new ideas.

Second Page: Introduction letter to President Noynoy. (about your group, the
paper you have done and what this economic agenda means to your group as
citizens of this nation).
Third to Tenth Page: One economic agenda per page. (be original, brief and
comprehensive).
Eleventh Page: References (can print at the back if necessary).

Guidelines for the Report (5%)

- Strictly business attire.
- Two to three reporters only.
- Maximum time per reporting is 15 minutes. (Allocate your time properly.)
- During the reporting, imagine that I am President Noynoy and your group is proposing
your 8 Point Economic Agenda. Persuade me to accept your proposal.
