Overall Ratings
Overall Rating: 4 - Exceeds expectations
Overall Comments and Recommendations:
Kristen did an exceptional job of teaching today's lesson about murals and the
impact on the community. She used an IPad mini to "control" the PowerPoint and
create a graphic organizer and to monitor the students written responses on the
Canvas program. She asked at least five higher order questions to review the
material learned yesterday. She prepared the students for a guest speaker
tomorrow by discussing appropriate and inappropriate questions to ask and had
each student record an appropriate question on a sticky note. Kristen involved the
learners and kept their interest by moving them from a seated position to walking
around the room, viewing the murals and then, back to their seats to write, using
their devices. Kristen's use of "attention getters" guarantees appropriate classroom
behavior that meets her standard of expectation.
