Brief summary of what we did on our trip

On our Maungakiekie field trip, we were assisted by a tour guide named
Philippa as we trekked to the top of One Tree Hill. Once we reached the
summit, we rested as we began to sketch landscapes that we saw. After
about 15 minutes of sketching, the classes descended to the base of the hill
via the road. When all of the classes had reached the base, we all had lunch,
ready to be lead into the stardome building. Once inside the stardome, a lady
gave us a lecture about the solar system and several things occur for
instance how a lunar eclipse occurs. 15 minutes later we were separated into
our groups, preparing for a quiz. Next up, we followed the lady into a room
known as the planetarium. In this room, we were shown a 3D version of our
solar system and when and how to find venus, mars, jupiter and saturn from
here on earth. The screen above us also showed us a visual of almost all of
the planets. After the show, we sauntered out of the planetarium and out of
the stardome and loaded the buses.

My favourite part of our trip

The part I most thoroughly enjoyed was the sketching because I thought I
sketched a beautiful landscape of Maungakiekie. I have displayed a picture
of my sketch below.
