Reflection

This is the fourth lesson I taught during the week. The students are familiar with
workers; the students have a background and knowledge about community workers
and places. I evaluate the student's understanding by assessing the student's learning
process verbal discussion ( what, where and who). Which mean I had a discussion
with whole class for how to use WH question and how to answer the question.
According to teaching competency reflection, that applied the debate the classroom to
evaluate the student's learning and understanding during the class. "Critical thinking is
important as it helps you to take informed actions, to develop a rational, for practice,
to avoid self- blaming, it grounds practitioners emotionally, it enlivens the learning
environment, and it increases democratic trust." ( Hackett, 2001). During this lesson, I
use different activity which is suitable for the student's grade level. Moreover, I had a
good managing with explicit instruction. Linked to teaching philosophy, I believe that
the time management helps the teacher prioritize her work. I find that using a different
strategy to manage the time during the lesson it more helpful and have a smooth move
from one stage to other. Moreover, help the students to improve their congestive skills
and the students will understand what they will do and what we will learn from today.
Moreover, the teacher will not have waist her time if she follows this strategy. So, all
of these are strengths when I had some weakness such as pronunciation and fluency.
This lesson was so short because it is the end of the week they have knowledge and
background for the unit. More specifically, when the learning objectives repeated in
the unit.
