Grade 2s, where are you? On an airplane!

Where are you going? To Paris!

Yes! The whole class is traveling to Paris to learn how to
speak French! Are you ready to take off? Before we take off,
you are responsible for telling the adventure! Under your
desk, you will find a piece of paper. Pull it out and read it
silently to yourself. When I call your number, it is your turn
to read your part of the story. Are you ready?
1) You just sat down in your seat. You are nervous. This is
your first time on an airplane.
2) You hope there are good movies to watch on the flight!
3) And you hope there is good food to eat!
4) The plane drives towards the runway, and then
WHOOSH, the plane takes off!
5) You look out your window; you are above the clouds!
6) Suddenly, there is a loud bang!
7) The engine dies!

8) The plane starts to glide down towards the water.

9) The plane crash-lands on the water.
10) You have a few bumps and scratches, but you are ok.
11) You put on a life jacket and make your way to the door.
12) You jump into the cold water.
13) Suddenly, a big wave appears.
14) The wave pushes you further out to sea, and the
current takes you south towards warmer waters.
15) The class has still managed to stay together.
16) Everyone is holding on to each other tight!
17) Many hours later, you spot an island!
18) Everyone starts frantically paddling towards it!
19) When you reach the island, you collapse on the sand
with exhaustion.

20) Everyone made it safe and sound!

21) Luckily, the sun is warm and your clothes dry quickly.
22) You eat a supper of coconuts.
23) The day draws to a close, so you make a fire to keep
warm.
24) As everyone visits around the fire, everyone asks the
same question: how are we going to get off of this island?
