Celebrating Good Times

It was the bottom of the fifth, Havre had just taken a

4-2 lead, and the Scotty fireworks were about to light
up on the Blue Ponies. Above is the team greeting
Tiana Johnson (#6) at home plate as she drilled a tworun homer over the left field fence to tie the game once
again. Still tied going into the bottom of the 6th, Khloe
Krumweide blasted another bleacher burner, nearly

taking out a windshield parked way past the outfield

fence. The Scotties would prevail 9-4, their ninth win in a
row to push their overall record to 9-3 (8-0 in conference).
Unfortunately, this is the final time we got to see our girls
at home as their regular season is rapidly coming to an
end with a pair of games at the Havre Invitational this
Saturday followed by a trip to Sidney on Monday.

The TBM Avenger, also known as The

Turkey, was an important bomber for the
Navy in the Pacific. Carrier (see how the
wings fold in to accomodate more planes)
and land based, it could drop bombs or
torpedos on the enemy. The TBM could
have up to a four-man crew. It was a TBM
that President George H.W. Bush was flying
on a bombing raid over a radar installation,
when he was hit by flak foring him to bail
out into the Pacific. That prop blade that
Bob Lipscomb is propped up against has
President Bushs signature on the tip! These
are all rare aircraft, Bob says, we need
to do everything we can to preserve thse.
While Bob didnt fly military aircraft, he did
learn how to fly civilian planes while serving
in North Africa in 1968. Hell be celebrating

The P-51 Mustang (weve seen one of

these beautiful birds in Glasgow on a
few occasions over the years as the Joe
Etcharts friend has one) has been credited
by many as the plane that changed WWII.
It is an airplane of great legend, from
the design to its deployment. The P-51s
role as a front-line fighter, flying escort
missions deep into Germany, made
daylight bombings a succes, thus reducint
the enemies ability to wage war. The D
model, with its distinctive bubble canopy,
came online in Europe and the Pacific in
the last year of the war. Its improvements
made it a stallion in the sky, taking out
enemy aircraft and proving a lethal ground
support platform. Dakota Kid II honors Lt.
Noble Peterson of New England, North Dakota, who fle

The Spitfire is a legendary British aircraft that
fought in the Battle of Britain and repelled
the enemy, keeping them from landing on
English soil. Its unique wing shape provides
the Spitfire with its agility in the air and also
identifies its famous profile in the sky. An
extremely fast aircraft, said Bob Lipscomb
of the Spitfire. While its primary theatre of
action was England and France, it was also
utilized in Africa and in defense of Australia.
It was flown in combat not only by the Brits,
but also American, Canadian, Czech, French
and Polish pilots. These pilots would fly their

Hillary Clinton has been feeling sick the past few
mornings, so she goes in for a check-up only to find out
that shes pregnant. She is furious. Here she is in the middle
of her run for president and now this has happened to her.

She calls home, gets Bill on the phone and immediately
starts screaming; How could you have let this happen?
With all thats going on right now, you go and get me
pregnant! HOW could You? I cant believe this! I just
found out I am pregnant and it is all your fault! Your fault!
Well, hat have you got to say?
There is nothing but dead silence on the phone. She
screams again, Did you hear me?
Finally she hears Bills very, very quiet voice. In a
barely audible whisper, he says, Who is this?

How come youre late? asked the bartender, as the
blonde cocktail waitress walked in an hour late.
It was horrible, just horrible, she explained. I was
walking down Grand Avenue and there was this terrible
accident. A man was thrown from his car and he was lying
in the middle of the street. His leg was broken, his skull
was fractured and there was blood everywhere. Thank
God I took that first-aid course!

What did you do? asked the bartender.

Well, duh! she says, I sat down on the curb and put
my head between my knees to keep from fainting!

The boss walked into the office one morning not
knowing his zipper was down and his fly area wide open.
His assistant walked up to him and said, This morning
when you left your house, did you close your garage door?

The boss told her he knew hed closed the garage door,
and walked into his office puzzled by the question. As he
finished his paperwork, he suddenly noticed his fly was
open, and zipped it up. He then understood his assistants
question about his garage door.
He headed out for a cup of coffee and paused by her
desk to ask, When my garage door was open, did you see
my Hummer parked in there?

She smiled and said, No, I didnt. All I saw was a rusty
old mini van with two flat tires.
