Why Creative Art is So Important in The Child Curriculum

When working with preschoolers we know that the ages to start learning is from 0-3. This
ages stage is critical because the brain is still developing. This kid goes throw three stages. The
first one is scribble, the second is lines and shapes and the third one is figures, people, letters and
numbers. This is the stages where the four outcomes show little more. The art program helps to
develop and enhance the four learning outcomes.
For example when working with art in a classroom you how their imagination grows.
When reading and have them draw a scenario or tell a story with drawing help there imagination
and language also to be more social with classmates when charring. Another example working
on projects like the Crayon Resistant painting helps to work on the four outcomes. Social/
Emotional this project helps the child to share space and materials also relaxes, release energy,
calms and is soothing. The Physical part of this is using fine motor, helps them to controls the
mussels on there hands and movement. Another outcome is Cognitive; this helps them to be
more creative and use there imagination, boost encouragement. I synaptic connection in the
brain, using imagination to create stories bid part in brain developing. Last but not least it helps
with Language. they work on there speech by working in groups and encouraging in
conversations (literacy) and write, read also part of language, but always ask Tell me about your
picture if they cant write yet ask Do you want me to write your words or name We always
keep in mind that learning takes time and we need to be passion therefore we have to have
multiple hands on experience what more them have Art programs in general. We never limited

to art activities for this reason, but the subject needs to be interesting for the kids to learn fast.
This how we construct knowledge and see them multiple learning styles they developed. Lets
not forget as the children grow, there are more opportunities to shape and construct the brain. Do
not forget that every Art project you work on, you should use or show the learning outcomes. In
the course you work with children when using art programs you will see there growth in there
four learning outcomes (Cognitive, Language/Literacy, Social/Emotional and Physical)
I believe Creative Art Programs should not be a prevalish or an extra curriculum class
because, Art plays a big part in the way children promotes and enhances their general
development. Art project always are a way to encourage preschoolers to enhance in the program
Curriculum. Preschoolers need art to express or to communicate with others. Art helps to teach
them in a simpler way. Art programs should always be in a child developmental curriculum.
