I would like to develop my

ability to obtain assessment
material of the students in
my class. I would like to be
able to use anecdotal notes
as well as using other forms
of assessment such as test
marks to inform my
understanding of a student.

I will know if I have

accomplished my goal if I
have enough knowledge on
students to determine what I
can do to further benefit their
learning. These will be
collected through notes and
students work samples

This is important as at all

times a teachers should know
their students strengths and
weaknesses as well as
knowing how to assist them.

difficult classroom
management situations.

appropriately with difficult

It is important because I
need too be able to deal with
issues that occur in the
school grounds as well as my
classroom. I need to be able
to maintain the safety of all
students in the classroom

This goal will be developed

throughout the four week
period as I dont know what
to expect from this class.
Even if I dont get to
experience taking charge of a
situation I can discuss and
gain ideas from other
teachers

I would like to continue to

develop the volume and
strength of my voice

I will know that I have

achieved the goal when
students at the back of the
room can hear me. This is
something that I will ask for
feedback about to collect as
evidence. I also want to feel
confident in myself with
using my voice in the
classroom.

I will work on this by

focusing on using a louder
voice when Im talking to
the whole class. I will also
ensure that all students are
quiet before I start speaking
so that my voice is clear to
students.

This goal is important as

students need to be able to
hear me when I give
instructions as well as I need
to use an adequate voice
volume when gaining
attention of the class.

This is something that I will

continue to develop
throughout the entire
placement as Im quite soft
spoken
