Introduction
Hello my name is Anna, I am a freelance producer who is investigating the subject area
of cyber bullying within the UK: once I have found out information, examples and
evidence and the sufficient data about cyber bullying I will then approach channel 4
about a proposed slot, time duration and an eventual airing of my programme. Cyber
bullying is something which is truly rising, its everywhere, we come across it in our day
to day lives and it is something which is becoming to
The main goal programme is to create bigger awareness about cyber bullying epidemic
but specifically within the UK. By creating awareness we are able to educate the
ignorant and help those which are suffering, although this can only be done with the
help of production, the information and the input from both me and you.

music .
Adverts
In my programme I am going to have one advert which will be half way through my programme,
this is so that the viewers wont keep getting annoyed if It had too many adverts throughout out

maybe something to eat or drink and also so my programme is not just all one big programme.
Closing Credits
The closing credits for my programme will be kept short and simple and will identify the main

Secondary Research
Quantitative
Programme Ratings
As my target audience is 12 to 19 year olds I am going to need to take in consideration when my programme is going to be shown, to
make sure that there is the maximum number of viewers as possible. The entails looking at programme ratings and doing some
research into when teenagers are most likely to watch TV and how long they would watch the programme for. I am then able to time
my programme according to the results to ensure that I am showing my programme at a time which agrees with my chosen target
audience. When looking in to programme ratings and trying to find a website which will give me the information which I need is
BARB. This website provides me with the detailed figures and statistics which regard what channels are the most popular; what time
people mainly watch TV at and how long the users actually watch the programme on average.
This survey shows the programme ratings for all the TV channels; this survey shows how the BBC have the most rating and channel 4
have the third most ratings. This survey also shows the individual programmes for certain company like the BBC have other TV
channels such as BBC 2 and BBC 3 which BBC 3 has now gone online so there is no longer a BBC 3 channel. I now need to have a look
for programme rating which are on cyber bullying; to do this I could look at the BARB as this would determine ratings from rival or
past programs. By doing this it would help to get an understanding in terms of how it would relate to my target audience, what time
slot my programme should be in, what day and the duration of the programme.
In January 2015, there was a film which premiered on channel 4, which was about a girl who lives her life out online and who is
ostensibly accused of cyberbullying by an anonymous culprit. This film got 7.2/10 ratings, which this film was very popular and got
quite a lot of hits because of its headline of being cyberbully.
From my questionnaire I found that 5/10 people who answered my questionnaire were female and 5/10 people
who answered my questionnaire were male. This shows that I equally shared my questionnaires out so that it was a
fair test.
From my questionnaire I also found out that 6/10 of the people who answered my questionnaire knew someone or
have been cyber bullied themselves; this shows that the majority of people who answered my questionnaire have
had some experience of what It is like to be cyber bullied and the main course of this was through social media as
they wrote down the cause of how they was cyber bullied and most of them said it was because of Facebook and
ask.fm which these media accounts are rapidly growing sites from users as young as 9 years old.
Also from my questionnaire all the people who answered my said that cyber bullying was wrong and that it should
not take place. I personally strongly agree with these statics as cyber bullying should never have to happen to
anyone, cyber bullying is something which everyone from a young age should know about so that a stop can be put
to it; cyber bullying can damage a young person and leave them with the scars from their child hood which is not
something which they will want to keep looking back on.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/facebook/8885876/Cyberbullying-victims-speak-out-they-were-anonymous-sothey-thought-they-could-get-away-with-it.html - this article is able someone speaking out in an interview about her cyber
bullying experience. This interview allows other people who are being cyber bullied that you are able to speak out and tell
someone and that they are able to find anyone who is doing it.
Online Forums
In the terms of forums which is relating to my topic of cyber bullying, I had a look online to see if I could find something
which was useful and popular forums which would link to my topic of cyber bullying and this will give people the chance to
post their stories to be able to get advice or even sometimes even just general knowledge which they may require. An
online forum is an online discussion website which people are able to hold conversations in the form of posted messagesthey sometimes differ from chat rooms within that message and they are often longer than one line of text and are at least
temporarily archived.
http://www.weeklygripe.co.uk/bullies-on-internet-discussion-forums - this is a link which people are able to leave
comments about cyber bullying and people are able to get back to them with advice or how to not let it get to them; Each
forum on this site has a moderator, you are able to learn who the moderators of a particular forum.

bullying may help sustain bullying prevention efforts over time. There is many different activities which teachers
are able to teach about cyber bullying
Market Research
Advertising Placement
I will advertise my programme on channel 4 so when another programme on channel
4 is on a break, my programme advert will feature- I will also put web banners up on
social media sites, open social media accounts to advertise that this new programme is
starting and how it may help people and I will put an advertisement on cyber bullying
sites.
Advertising Effectiveness
The effectiveness of putting my advertising my advert will allow people to know that
the new programme is starting and how it may help them if they are too afraid to tell
anyone else. My advert is also effect as it could bring cyber bullying to and end. It may
help people who think cyber bullying is funny to know how serious it actually is.

Final Pitch
Is it a worth-while topic?
This topic is worth while as cyber bullying has been happening now for many years and nothing has been
done to put a stop to it. People need to be more educated to this topic both adult and teens to ensure that
a stop is put to it.
