Comments: Uses students names each time she calls on them, teacher clearly has strong relationships
with students in the classroom, smiles at students, students talk to her as they enter the classroom, teacher
provides encouraging language throughout lesson very nice, teacher asks questions to collect feedback
on student understand so, what will we do first? What is the best way we could start this off? Teacher
constantly uses we statements encouraging a team approach to understanding the lesson and completing
the activity.

d: Standards of conduct appear to be clear to students, and the
teacher monitors student behavior against those standards. The teachers response to
student misbehavior is appropriate and respects the students dignity.
Comments: Praise to students throughout lesson promotes positive behavior throughout the lesson, what
have you highlighted so far kept kids on track with the provided activity, students exhibits respect for
educator and the classroom displays no behavioral issues. Teacher uses the building behavior management
system RUN Card. Students know their expectations and meet them in terms of behavior during the
instruction.
