Introduction
In Southern Africa many animals are heinously abused, used, mistreated, and neglected. Animals
are not only used for food production but they are also used for cruel entertainment and some
wild life is even coming up to extinction. What is damaging to our ecosystem and harming to our
environment is that these animals are going extinct because without their natural habitational
habits meaning if the habitat is not habitable its changing ways of the eco system. For example,
if these animals keep dying they start to decompose and the thing is that without them not as
much life travels through the forest, desert etc. and it makes it a little more difficult for us to
follow where water sources are and other things of that value. These animals are living creatures
that not only help our ecosystem and in turn help us live and breathe the oxygen we breathe as
well as same as plants because they give off carbon dioxide and oxygen.

Methodology
Research shows that in Southern Africa many animals are dying and struggling to survive. They
are being used for entertainment, poached, killed, abused, and overall treated heinously. In order
for us to prevent any more meaningless and cruel killings, we must send some professional
military troops to deal with these people and prevent harm from getting to these animals. First
things first, retain all animals that are being harmed and appoint immediate consequences to the
people who dont comply. Second make a law or work order to help the people there with their
needs and wants from these animals. Third supply these people with jobs and make sure they do
not go back to mistreating these animals. We also need to provide awareness and education just
like the supporters have a tab on their website for the wild life protection. If people are aware of
what they are doing and educated about how animals should be treated, it would help the
reduction of abuse (pg. 5). It would not only give the animals peace and hope but it will also give
the people knowledge about the world and why our animals are important to us and our planet
earth. There are many steps we can take into helping these abused animals. One of many things
you can do is donate; whether it be yearly or monthly, you can help save a life by donating to
different organizations and communities that work hard to feed and rescue these animals.
Another thing you could do is help the African people by sending them money so that their
children may have food, clothing, and other necessities met. However, you do not necessarily
have to have money to help. Simple gestures such as giving away clothes or things you dont
need and donating them to Africa would certainly be used and appreciated. Its the simple little
thing can help save an ignorant animals life. Society can make simple little changes that can

make a big difference and help save an animals life.

Results:
Animal Recovery Mission (ARM) is a well-known organization that protects and rescues
wildlife animals. Almost every day in Africa about 400 elephants are being killed for their tusks,
meat and other sources (pg 12 ARM investigators). The people who make money off of them and
also use them as tools for certain jobs. These people are either the ones killing them and or
transporting them. South Africa also has highest for the most animal production sold and traded
regarding animal products. Based on this information, if this continues there will be few or no
elephants left by 2030. Over 470 species are suffering tremendously, all of which are being
treated terribly and some are becoming extinct much faster than others. So far, there are still
more killings than actual rescuing (pg. 14 Arm Investigators). Why? Because its such a huge
market there is so much going around, trades, sales and people buying them for whatever uses.
Help is actually improving little by little although its not a lot its still some that will always
have more room for improvement.

In the summary, more than thousands of wildlife have been harmed, killed,
tortured, and even abused like no other. Very few members of the wild life arm investigations are
actually trying to something about it and prevent it from happening but it is very difficult when
their country is run by such a harmful but useful and beneficiary production to them. Sine South
Africa is a large distributor of animal products it is very difficult to stop something that quickly
and it is even more difficult if we want the animals unharmed. As you can see in the info graph
above our rescues have increased tremendously over the past 4 years and hopefully it continues
to increase. It is important we can at least continue to increase rather than decrease. That way we
know we can steadily be saving animals and saving them from extinction. If all animals were to
go extinct our earth would be a very dirty place and not a much useful place to breathe. No
animals mean the trees wouldnt be growing as much seeds wouldnt be spread out as much and
would then cause a problem for us.
