1. Review the course material Unit 2 and answer the following questions
about a lesson planning.
a. How important do you think a lesson plan is to a successful lesson?
A lesson plan is quite important because is the way that teachers organize and distribute
time for their teaching process to achieve the purposes or Objectives. It is also very
important because through a lesson plan, teachers reduce uncertainty and provides clarity of
what they are going to teach their learners, and also allows teachers to gain respect from
their students, because it is a sample of professionalism and commitment; therefore,
teachers will have a successful lesson.
What features do you think a lesson plan should include?
I think that, a lesson plan should include:
The topic
The main objective
Warm up
Introduction
The content
The Materials
The practice
The Production and evaluation
b. Do you think it is a good idea to strictly follow a lesson plan?
Yes, I do
Why?
Because it is the best way for teachers to carry out an organized teaching process in each
lesson, as it allows them to have an outline what will teach, what kind of materials are the
most appropriated for the activity or topic that will be carry out. A lesson plan is a good
idea because allows teachers to provide security, as well as to have a clear leaning strategy
that helps them to achieve their objectives.
c. Some people think that lesson plans severely restrict teachers creativity.
Do you agree?
No, I do not agree
Explain your answer.
In my opinion I think that a lesson plan does not restrict teachers creativity, everything
depends on the ability of the teachers, how they carry out the teaching process; even I think
that a lesson plan gives a clear outline to the teacher to organize the materials that will use
for the lesson, how it will be the dynamic for the class, as well as how it will be achieved
the purposes and goals. So, it is very important to note that through a lesson plan teachers
can be very creative, because it allows them to encourage a creative lesson.

2. Post your individual contribution in the forum on time so others students can comment your participation.
3. Each student must participate at least twice in the forum on time and give meaningful feedback about.

. The students will design a blog in order to integrate all the components of a lesson planning, taking into account a topic to be

developed following a specific structure, for example
