WRITTEN
AS
MEASUREABLE
OBJECTIVES
Today
the
students
will
be
able
to:
1. Identify
the
main
characters.
2. Outline
their
iMovie
Trailer.
How
will
you
link
the
new
materials
to
prior
learning?
The
students
have
been
doing
a
year-long
study
of
their
family
tree,
so
the
books
that
they
read
will
help
them
make
connections
to
their
own
family.
Process
of
Learning
What
will
students
do?
1. I
will
start
the
lesson
by
showing
my
iMovie
Trailer
again.
2. Then
I
will
explain
that
we
are
going
to
start
filling
out
graphic
organizers.
3. I
will
use
the
Elmo
(document
camera)
to
fill
out
an
outline
for
my
book.
Asking
them
what
to
put
for
different
blanks.
4. Then
I
will
use
Apple
TV
to
show
them
how
to
put
the
information
from
the
graphic
organizer
into
the
iMovie
-
text
and
pictures.
5. Then
I
will
ask
them
to
get
into
their
pairs
and
find
a
spot
where
they
can
write.
(If
on
the
carpet,
grab
a
clip
board
to
write
on)
6. I
will
call
groups
to
go
get
the
same
number
iPad
they
used
on
Thursday
if
they
started.
7. Once
I
see
pairs,
I
will
have
the
paper
passer
hand
out
the
graphic
organizers
to
the
designated
pairs.
(Names
will
be
on
each
packet,
since
there
are
two
different
levels)

over
to

Yes,
for

part.
Everyone
will
be
working
with
their
partner
to
complete
the
graphic
organizer.
But,
there
will
be
two
different
graphic
organizers.
One
will
have
the
students
go
more
in-depth
with
their
explanations
(for
higher
level
students)
while
the
other
will
not
go
as
in-

How
will
you
know
if
students
understand
the

objectives?
I
will
see
that
they
have
filled
out
their
graphic

with
detailed

from
their

When
will
assessment
occur?
At
the
end
of
the
week,
when
their
trailer
is
complete.
The
iMovie
and
graphic
organizer
will
be
their
assessment
for
this
unit.
How
will
you
get
the
students
attention?
Bum-ba-da-da-da
or
If
you
can
hear
me
clap
once...
If
you
can
hear
me
clap
twice
If
you
can
hear
me
clap
three
times
How
are
you
going
to
teach
this
lesson?
I
will
begin
by
showing
my

Then
I
will
fill

I
will
then
show
them
how
to
put
some
of
the
information
into
the
iMovie
Trailer
using
Apple
TV.
After
I
will
have
them
get
into
their
pairs,
then
I
will
hand
out
their
graphic
organizers.
I
will
walk
around
and
make
sure
all
the
groups
are
on
the
right
track
and
understand
what
they
are
doing.
What
instructional
strategies
will
you
use?
Introductions/transitions,
teacher
talking,
questioning,
student
interaction,
small

will
you
summarize
and
check
for

will
look
over
each
