Purpose
BVSD aims to change Monarch High Schools bell schedule, in hopes
to improve the average students learning experience
Our goal is to fit the new schedule to the students wants, as well as
what pediatricians and doctors are advising
This presentation is meant to inform others of the students viewpoint
of how we want our school day to be scheduled
Background informationPediatricians

They believe that because the majority of teenagers don't fall asleep before 10:30,
the current start times for school do not allow students to be getting appropriate

Data
A little more than half of the
responses like the late start that is
held on Wednesdays. With the
new schedule it might be hard to
continue with late start but there
could be a slot for an early
release. We tried to integrate both
interests into the new bell
schedule.
Data
A lot of people responded that
they would like more block
periods so maybe more of a
block schedule throughout the
week.
Also we got a few comments
about a homeroom/seminar
that you would attend all four
years with the same teachers
and students for a small
amount of time in the morning.
Conclusion
In order to incorporate the needs of all students at Monarch High
School, we believe that our schedule change is vital to the performance
of students and overall success for them in the future. We hope you
take into consideration all the improvements we have made in regards
to the student body as well as the studies performed by pediatricians
leading to a better and brighter future for high schoolers.
