"Makipagsapalaran sa Maynila"

Rather than continuing to have the majority of economic developments occur only in
Imperialist Manila, the proposal to shift to Federalism aims at distributing Economic
Development to the different regions.
Because of the so-called "Provincial rate" and Manila as the center of development, Filipinos who
live in other regions and provinces choose to live and work in Metro Manila. The result is, more p
opulation in Metro Manila, more demand for accommodation and transportation, hence, squatte
rs and traffic jam. We can't blame them though, they also don't want to be separated from their
family but the system forced them to.
It also applies to provinces around Metro Manila like Laguna, Bulacan, Pampanga etc. They also h
ave to travel from their homes to Makati, Quezon City and Manila. They spend hours in traffic cro
ssing NLEX, SLEX and EDSA rather than being with their family. More commuters, more demand
for provincial buses and cars that enter Metro Manila, hence, traffic jam.
We have to develop and industrialize every regions and provinces, so Filipinos who live in their pro
vinces don't need to "Makipagsapalaran sa Maynila".
