event to an average day for the account.

Brief Description
The wellness director sent emails out to AAA employees in
the Living Healthy at AAA monthly newsletter prior to the
event and provided them with the smoothie recipes. Ninja
smoothie cups were given as company Christmas gifts to
some employees and advertised for sale to all employees.
I provided signage and nutrition information in the Caf.
I created education materials with the health benefits of
each ingredient in the three smoothies as well as recipe
and nutrition information cards
The AAA clients loved the idea of the event and promoting
healthier options. Some of the smoothies (the green one in
particular) was a little too healthy tasting for a few of
them. Several employees/customers wished the smoothie
event was a permanent part of the AAA breakfast offerings.
There was executive meetings/a leadership conference this
week so the caf had a smaller number of customers
(many of whom would be our target base). The impact of
the booth on sales were nominal for this reason. We sold
an average of 6-7 smoothies a day (34 total) at $2.99 each.
Earnings were $101.66, and subtracting the cost of
ingredients ($40.5), we earned a total of $61.16 throughout
the week.

the event to an average day for the

If you used a variety of menu items, which
sold better? Why.

Other comments pertaining to this event

There wasnt a higher number of customers during this

promotion week due to the leadership conference taking
place outside of the company office all week.
The Detox smoothie sold the best of the three, people were
looking to jump on the healthy/cleansing train after
indulging over the holidays.
Since I was running the booth for a full 5 days, I learned a
little more each day about how to make the system more
efficient and what to expect. I started making smoothies,
not just from the recipes I provided, but according to
customer preferences which increased sales.

The timing of the event (post-holiday) was valuable
The setup right as you walk into the cafeteria was
helpful
Having three very different options was a good
choice
There is very little customer flow through the
cafeteria during the breakfast shift this week due to
executive meetings held outside of the office, which
was something I couldnt really address. The first
day people were kind of confused as to what the
stand was for (since it was the first day back from
the holidays and theyd overlooked/forgotten about
the promotional email). On day two I added a sign
with the title of the event and the dates/times.
Organization and preparedness were the biggest
skills I developed and used throughout this progress.
Having all the information, ingredients, tools, and
appliances in place prior to the start time was key.
Keeping everything organized day to day was very
helpful in repeating the process.
I will pick two smoothies to keep for everyday of the
event and then implement one new one each day.
For repeat customers, I think having a new option
they can try would be really helpful. I would try to
advertise a little more as well and make the pricing
of the smoothies more clear for customers. Id try to
plan the event at a time when there arent a
significant amount of AAA employees out of the
office.
