IntheinterviewwithKazuoIshiguroandtheBookseller,thenovel,NeverLetMeGo,is
contemplatedanddiscussedthoroughly,obtaininginformationfromtheauthorabouthis
intentions.Towardsthetailendoftheinterview,Ishigurobringsforwardhisperception
oftheauthorovertureheinsiststhatmanybelieveapeakingpointistowardthemiddle
oftheirliveswhereabookwillpursue,butIshigurocorrectedmanygreatnovelists
havebeenyoungwritersincluding,theBrontesisters,JaneAusten,andTolstoy.
Ishigurostatedintheinterviewthatthesettingforhisnovel,NeverLetMeGo,was
determinedasalastpieceofhisliterarypuzzle.Ishigurocorrelatedthatanendingwas
likeagrandfinalerelatingtomusicthefinallineswouldconcludethepieceinarelief.
Inaddition,afterIshigurodeterminedthecharacters,tone,andplot,asettingwould
caresstheelementsinsupportuntilthelastwordwasread.
ThearticlebyHenrietteRoosregardsthefictionalprospectoforganharvestingandthe
intentionsportrayedwithauthorsanddirectorswhomanagethematter.Roosdeclares
thatorganharvestingisacorruptmatterduringmoderntimesandisconsidered
problematicinsomecircumstancessinceitcanconcernlivepatientsdonatinghealthy
