am scared! That's the truth.
When Trump promises to "Make America Great Again," we should ask: Great for whom? Certainly not for women, Americans of color, LGBT communities, religious minorities, or minorities in general. For most Americans, the good old days weren't actually that good, and the "greatness" Trump talks about doesnt exist. Diversity is what makes America great and I couldnt agree more. How can people actually follow him and believe he can become President? Whats the deal with all this trashy political propaganda? I am not good with History, but come
on! Women couldn't vote until 1920 or
own property until the 1970s, what? White landowners owned and enslaved blacks who were not only ripped from their homes but routinely beaten, raped, and resold away. There's also the small detail that American land was stolen from Native Americans. Gay people couldn't express their feelings openly like they do now. The people who have the capacity to change the future of their Country shouldn't stay arms crossed and do nothing. Its like when you stare at someone who is drowning, and do nothing when you really can do something. Not voting for Trump in the presidential elections on November 2016 might be doing something. Let's not be bystanders. Lets take a brief look at Donald Trump campaign. He wants to bring unity to the Republican Party, and also unify the United States. They are obstacles for him to achieve that unity. Like, 77 and 86 percent of Hispanics and African Americans, respectively, dislike Trump. An overall of 7 in 10 women see him as very unfavorable. 1
He talks about a We that sways
people across the country making them believe they are part of something big. But when it comes to minorities he use the term The or They which may constitute a cultural and racial division. We would make America great againThe Hispanics have been so incredible to me. They want jobsI have a great relationship with the blacks. D. Trump Instead of unity, he clearly is causing a disunion. As Trump gets closer to presidency Latinos feel locked out of the GOP (Grand Old Party/Republican party). Even though Latino republicans verbalize that they wont vote for Trump, they certainly wont vote for Hilary Clinton either. There is an underperformance at polls of Latinos representation. Latino republicans are scared that Latinos may leave the party. If something like this ever happens one of the consequences is that the immigration reform could be pushed out of office. In order to avoid that, Latino Republicans will focus working down ballot in local communities to elect mayors, county

knuckleheads in a crowd of thousands?
It's a non-issue, she said.
On the other hand, Donald
Trump abruptly cancelled a press conference, even though a meeting was still on, in order to announce his endorsement by a coalition with black religious leaders. His political tactic of courting black pastors may suggest that he does have some black support. Because support among evangelicals has been unexpectedly strong. Historically black churches have been conservative on social issues, even though Trumps not much of a socialissues candidate. A SurveyUSA poll in September 2015 showed Trump won 25 percent of the black vote. The best support any Republican has done with black voters was 17 percent, and that was Gerald Ford in 1976. The pastor Sheila Griffin reacted to a fight involving an integrant of Black Lives Matter at one of Trumps rally as: Oh goodness. Donald Trump is not a racist, that's just the press looking for a story. What was it? A couple of
Furthermore, Hilary Clinton on
a town-hall event said that half of her cabinet will be women. This statement ignites a verbal exchange of a demeaning propaganda coming from Donald Trump. He said that Hilary is using the woman card. At what Hilary replied, if fighting for women's health careand equal pay is playing the woman card, then deal me in. In order to recover from that expression D. Trump stated that women dont like Hilary Clinton and she wouldnt be where she is without Bill Clinton, and thats a vast overstatement according to the author. Lets be reminded that a 70 percent of women have an unfavorable view of him. American women say theyd bite the bullet and vote for Clinton, if necessary. People often feel angry and let down by their leaders, as well as by the institutions that dominate their lives: political parties, government 2
bureaucracy, and corporations. Yet the
cause of this malaise is not being addressed by politicians. Definitely not on this election campaigns, as I see it. I have been told that one of the ways an authority figure can move masses is by convincing them that the past was great. Its very strategic, because the majority of us have never lived in the past to say if it really was great or not, and we also dont question it. Perhaps this is where ignorance lies. Much of our daily experiences: from the food we eat, to the governments we elect, to the economy on which our wealth depends, to the way we care for our health and wellbeing, has become too big, too bureaucratic, and too distant from the human scale. We need to be more human, aimed at the root that cause our problems rather than just the symptoms. We need to transform our society to make it more suited to the way we want to live our lives today. To make us more human. Its not about not voting at all, is about making a wise choice. Let's not be bystanders.
