Printer light Status Functions

The printers keypad provides printer control and printer status information. The host computer
also provides these and other functions through the printer driver on the computer.
The buttons and indicator lights on the keypad are labeled only with icons. The descriptions in
this section refer to the lower button and light as the Power button and Power light, and the
upper button and light as the Resume button and the Resume light.

Printer ready = on, online, idle.

When the keypad lights flash to indicate printer conditions, the flash pattern consists of alternating on and off
intervals of 0.5 seconds, except when the indication is timed out waiting for formfeed. In the latter case, the
pattern is as shown in Figure 3-13 on page 3-31.
Power light flashes until last page drops.
