Four hotsy-totsy young lovers are on the
lam from the high-hats world of rules.
Along the way, madness ensues when
the lovers paths cross with the king and
queen of the fairies, a company of (not
very good) actors, and one very impish
sprite named Puck. As Lysander says, The
course of true love never did run smooth.
Full of madcap chases and magic, A Midsummer Nights Dream is a humdinger of
play. A play all about the absurdity of love
complicated, wonderful, icky, ridiculous,
glorious love!
Shakespeare & Company is a classical
repertory theatre performing at the Outdoor Theatre complex of Century College.
Their goal is to provide an environment
where families can come and enjoy an
informal picnic atmosphere and see
performances of Shakespeare and other
classical plays. We are invited to stroll
around the campus and enjoy the pond
and nature preserve. The play is informal;
it is an attempt to recreate the feeling of
the Elizabethan theatre-its excitement, and
vitality! Dont worry about the children; let
them run and play on the grass. After all,
from their imaginations and exuberance
will come tomorrows actors and poets.
Seating is on the lawn, so patrons are encouraged to bring blankets or low-backed
lawn chairs to the performance. We will
be arriving about 30-45 minutes before
showtime, so feel free to bring a picnic
supper or to wander the campuss pond
and nature preserve. Min 6

Disney presents a musical
that brings the
much-loved 1994
animated film to
life to breath-taking effects,
spirit and power,
inviting you
to explore the
African Serengeti and join the
wide eyed cub Simba on the adventure of
a lifetime as he grows up and accepts his
destiny as the King of the Pride Lands. In
addition to the beloved songs penned by
Sir Elton John and Tim Rice (such as the
soaring Circle of Life) this phenomenal
adaptation has new original songs and
explodes with joyous, captivating music
that soundtrack the rich mythology and
moving drama expertly. This is surely
to be a night of theater that you will not
forget! Min 20/Max 40
