I am a currently employed by the United States Army.

While in the
Army I have achieved a higher rank and I have obtained a job as a supply
specialist.
While working in the U.S. Army I first started as an E1 private which
makes an annual pay of $18, 378. Most men and women that first join the
Army start out as a private if they have no experience or college education
behind them. As I continued showing my leadership, communication, and
good work ethic skills I began to move up in ranking to private E2. As a
private E2 I would be making an annual salary of $20,602.80. I did not stop
there when it came to bettering myself and my ranking. I kept showing
more potential and striving to achieve higher ranking that I then moved up
in rank to Private E3 and making an annual salary of $21, 664.80. On
February 14, 2014 I moved to the current rank that I am now as Specialist
E4 and I am currently making an annual salary of $23,994. My
commanding officers pushed me to my limits and kept seeing more of my
leadership skills, potential, and motivation come with all the hardwork and
dedication that I give in my work that they believed that becoming a
specialist would push to set more goals for myself. As I grow in experience
I will receive a raise every two years that I am in the service. I plan on

continuing in the service and gaining more experience and pushing myself
to achieve an even higher rank.
My MOS which stands for military occupational specialty in the U.S.
Army is supply specialist. My job duties are receiving and inspecting
inventory, loading and unloading store inventory, and issuing and delivering
supplies and equipment to military personnel. I also have to keep records
of the organizational and installation supplies and equipment. Another part
of having the MOS of supply is issuing and receiving small arms. I have to
keep weapons secure and accounted for and keep both ammunition and
weapons in safe and secure areas that are watched by security. Scheduling
and performing preventative and organizational routine maintenance on
weapons. Lastly, another part of my job is operating the unit level
computers. With the job that I have it is imperative that a person possess
organizational skills. When a person needs the equipment I need to know
exactly what I have in the system and what I have issued out already. I truly
enjoy working as a supply specialist because there are always job
opportunities out there. For example, anywhere where military personnel
are needed I can and will travel there to perform my duty. My job has took
me overseas to a third world country called South Korea. I spent one year
in South Korea in a military facility based out of the city called Seoul. I was

expected to complete the same job duties that I was asked to perform in
the U.S. overseas as well. While I was overseas I was able to experience
so many new people, places, and things.
Joining the Army was one of the best decisions I have ever made in
my life. It has brought out so many qualities that I did not know I
possessed. It has driven me to become a responsible adult and a better
man. I will continue to strive at all obstacles that I may face in my workforce
to gain more experience and education to gain higher rankings so that I can
teach other men and women the knowledge that I have obtained. I will
forever be grateful for all that I have learned and I will be willing at anytime
if need be to lay my life on the line to protect my brothers and sisters and to
protect my country. Hooah!!
