Employment Relations in Ontario


Objective:Overthenextweekormore,wewillbeinvestigatingEmploymentRelationsinCanadawith
theemphasisonOntario.

OurgoalwillbethepublicationofaKnowYourRightspamphletdirectedathighschoolstudentswith
theaimofinformingthemabouttheirrightsatworkineasytounderstand,practicallanguage.

Ingroups,youwillresearch,write,andpresntanexplanationoftheintentofkeycomponentsofFederal
andProvinciallabourlegislation.Youwilluseappropriateresearchmethodstogather,organize,
evaluate,andsynthesizeinformation.Thisassignmentwillprovideyouwithanopportunitytoexplain,
discuss,andinterpretlegalissuesusingapamphletformat.Thegoalistocreateone,complete
documentthatcontainsthekeycomponentsforeachpieceoflegilationinaneasytoread/understand
format.

InsuranceActandHumanRightsatWork
.Eachcommitteewillberesponsibleforoneofthese
areas.

Individual:Eachgroupmemberwillcompletetheirownsection.Eachgroupmembersworkwillbe
clearlyidentifiedastheirown.Becreative,useimages,infographics,tables&chartswhereapplicable.

FinalProduct:
Presentyourpieceoflegislationtotheclass10/15minutes.
