Argument for the Nanobots

With just one small pill, we can cure cancer. We can end the disease that
almost 40% of people will be diagnosed with in their lifetime. We can effectively and
painlessly remove one of the most well-known and destructive ailments.
The pill is filled with nanobots that hunt down and destroy cancer cells. They also
are designed to learn on the fly and adapt to removing a myriad range of cells,
bacterium, and viruses. This is so that we can deal with the various ways in which
cancer can mutate. We are also hopeful that the nanobots can be used to target
other diseases such as the common cold, influenza, strep throat, and many more
common diseases.
While there are some minor setbacks, such as the loss of several test groups
and a small issue with overactive nanobots, I still believe that our work is one of the
greatest breakthroughs of human history. We could have prevented some of these
issues by testing on animals first.
In addition to curing disease, with these nanobots we have a chance at
repairing cells that deteriorate such as cartilage and enamel. We could use them to
repair a hip instead of just giving someone a fake hip, the same goes for broken
bones that can be repaired. We can eliminate the need for casts for broken bones.

We can keep someone at their prime, and then make them better. We can create
immortality.
Some of my colleagues are worried about the moral and ethical ramifications
of our work. We have lost one small group of 21 test subjects. Ten were healthy and
ten were terminally ill and one special subject. Their illnesses included leukemia,
AIDs, Ebola, PTSD, Lupus, and one patient who is being constantly being fed and
injected with various drugs.
The damage caused by the nanobots was due to the governments of the
world being overzealous to have the cure to disease. They rushed us and our
studies. Unfortunately this lead to the destruction of approximately 64 percent of
the worlds populations. China felt this the hardest out of all because they jumped
on the new cure for all disease fastest. They lost almost 90 percent of their
population.
The good that came from this unfortunate purge of the world is that we have
reduced global warming, solved the overpopulation crisis, reduced pollution, and
helped fix world hunger. We also became incredibly rich due to selling the cure for
an inflated price. We fixed our nanobots and used them on ourselves in such a way
that we could become immortal and fast healing. We chose not to sell the nanobots
to any governments, instead we decided to split ways and hide for the rest of our
lives. We managed this by faking our deals to look like we died from the nanobots
after the cure was distributed. We created new identities so that we could explore
the world, or rather the destroyed shell that was left behind.
Overall, we have the future of the human race inside each pill. We hold the
chance at an end to all suffering and extend all life. With the fixed nanobots, we can

created an elite race of people who are capable of longer lives. If we choose to let a
minor and unfortunate setback keep us from attaining our goal, we will have failed
ourselves and every other person on this planet.
