    shotorbeatenbymultipleofficers.Somethingassimpleaswinninganawardhas
    becomeabigchallengeforminorities.Thesearesomeoftheproblemsthatthe
    communitiesofcolorhavetoovercome.
    Thejusticesystemhasshownexcessiveuseofforcetowardsminoritiesand
    haveevenkilledyoungteensandchildrenfromdistinctbackgrounds.Eventhoughtheir
    arecountlessvideos,photos,andrecordingsthoseofficersarenotgivenany
    punishmentfortheiractionsinsteadtheygetapaidsuspension.Whenanofficerof
    colordoesthesamecrimetheygetsentencedformanslaughterandgotoprison.Due
    tothisthecommunitygetsmadandstarttoprotesttheinjusticesimilartothecaseof
    PeterLiang.PeterLianglikemanypoliceofficersshotandkilledanAfricanAmerican
    manwhilehewaspatrollingbutwhatkilledhimwasnottheshotbuthisreckless
    actions.ManypeoplewererelatingthiscasetotheeventofVincentChinwith
    protesterswithsignsstatingonetragedy,twovictimsWhenthenewsgotothescene
    theyfocussolelyonthecommunitythatisaffectedthenewssourcesaskquestionsto
    thoseinthatcommunity.Newssourcesmuteoutthevoicesofthesurrounding
    communitiesandindoingsotheymakeitlooklikeanindividualprobleminsteadofa

    justicesystem.Thiskeepsthechainofreactionstocontinuetohappenwhichprevent
    minoritycommunitiesfrombeingabletogainpower.
    Anotherthingthatkeepsthischainofreactions,continuetohappenarethose
    (usuallywhitemales)whorefusetoaccepttheirisracisminthiscountryorpretannotto
    noticeracism.Thatshavingamindsetthatthinksthatduetoitbeingcoldwhereyoulive
    thatglobalwarmingisn'tathing.Thosepeoplewiththatmindsetareusuallytheones
    whorunbigcorporationsthataresometimesfocusedsolelyonthemoreprivileged
    people(richwhitemales).TheOscarswouldbeoneexamplebecausefortwo
    consecutiveyearstherehavebeenanallwhitenominee.somemightsaythatitisa
    coincidencebutknowingthattheoneswhochoosewhogetstobenominatedareold
    whitemen.Byhavingalargerbodyofwhitevoterstheyaretheoneswhosvoicesare
    heardduetothefactthattheymakeuptheentirevoting.Thevoicesthatarenotheard
    arethoseoftheminoritiesthatbarelymakeupanythingcomparedtothatofthemore
    dominantgroup.
    Overallwearemoreawareofwhatishappeningaroundourcommunitiesthanin
    previousyearsduetoourlargecommunicationsystems.Duetousbeingmore
    connectedwithoneanotherweareabletouniteandbuildgroupsthatarefocusedon
    bringingchangeforthecommunitiesofcolor.Awaytoovercometheseproblemsisby
    beingunitedandbecominganallyforgroupsofsocialchange.Bybeingunitedthe
    peopleinpowerwillseeourproblemsassystemicinsteadofanindividualproblem.
