Work ExperienceSushi1- server

December 2015-May 2016
As a server at Sushi1, the staff placed an important emphasis on teamwork and
communication. My main priority as a server was to make sure I knew the contents of each of
our 40+ different sushi rolls and various entrees in order to answer any questions that guests
might have. We were also expected to seat guests, buss tables, take carry out orders and dry
dishes all while giving excellent service to our guests.
Stuft Burger Bar- bar manager, server
May 2014 June 2015
As a bar manager, I was responsible for managing the restaurant and ensuring an enjoyable
dining experience for guests. Along with having my own section of tables to serve, I was
responsible for assisting servers with any task, big or small, to help their tables run smoothly
and ensure the customer would return again and again. Along with assisting servers, I was
responsible for attending to guests at the bar. When closing the restaurant, I was expected to
collect and record all monies from that day and set up the restaurant for service the next
morning.
As a server at Stuft Burger Bar, my duties included attending to guests needs while making
them feel welcomed and comfortable. I was awarded employee of the month in January for my
contagiously positive attitude and my willingness to help my fellow co-workers with whatever
assistance they needed. At the same time I was awarded employee of the month, I was
promoted to bar manager.
La Baguette French Bistro- server, hostess, barista
January 2013 September 2013
As an employee of La Baguette Bistro, I held multiple positions at once. I was also responsible
for taking to-go orders at the counter, making complex coffee drinks, bussing my own tables,
and expediting food. I enjoyed the fast-paced environment of the restaurant and thrived on the
pressures and responsibilities of my multiple roles at La Baguette.
