Hotel Rwanda
REVIEW
In my opinion, I really liked the movie. It showed how violent and terrifying the genocide actually was. It also gave you a good prospective on how
many people actually were killed during this time. It gave you a good idea
on how the good Hutus risked their safety to protect their friends and family.

CONNECTION
Both the book Left to Tell and the movie Hotel Rwanda are about the
Rwandan genocide. In Hotel Rwanda, it is about a good Hutu named
Paul, who ruins a hotel. When the genocide starts, he does whatever he
can to protect his Tutsi wife and as many Tutsis as he can. In Left to Tell,
its a true story about a Tutsi girl named Immaculee. She is forced to go
into hiding at a Hutu pastures house. They both relate to each other because they show how terrible the genocide was and makes you realize
how tragic it actually was.

GENERAL SYNOPSIS
The movie was about Paul who is a Hutu who is put in charge of the hotel
while the manager is out of the country. The genocide then begins and
Paul first denies that it is actually happening. He then finds his own son in
the bushes covered in blood. Thats when reality actually hit him. He then
begins hiding tutsis in the hotel. His wife and children are also Tutsis
and he does anything he can to protect them fro the Hutus.
