Lots of resources to sort out sometime

over Spring Break.

They were so nice. They snapped in

agreement, took pictures and videos, and
finally gave me a standing ovation. They
said the only thing I could add for the
BACS presentation would be a disclaimer
so that teachers don't feel personally
attacked. In addition to this, I should set
ground rules for safe discussion.
Remember to send them the presentation

We discussed the agenda for the Trapped

screening, as well as community outreach
ideas, and more. I thought I should
probably keep you in the loop, so here's a
summary:
Agenda:
Chaperone arrival: 5:15 p.m.
Doors Open: 5:30
Introduction & Pre-Survey (by Valentina):
5:45 - 5:50
Movie Screening: 5:50-7:25 (90 minute run
time)
Post-Survey & Closing (by Reproductive
Justice Educator): 7:25-7:50
How this issue affects low income people
and people of color.
Dismissal: 7:50 - 8:00 p.m.
Clean up: 7:50 - 8:20 p.m.
Julio and Paul, I realize this is a long shift.
Please let me know if this agenda does not
work for you, and I can try to cut it down.
There will also (hopefully) be a table with
Planned Parenthood swag, educational
materials, condoms, and more. This table
will be managed by a Planned Parenthood
representative.
In addition, there will be a table with
snacks and applications for paid summer
internships and other opportunities.
Planned Parenthood will also be providing
free RIPTA roundtrip passes/money for
transportation. All of this is thanks to a
stipend they have been given for this
event!

5/3/2016

Met with Victoria Ruiz from Planned

Parenthood and then emailed

5/4/2016

Spent lunchtime passing out TRAPPED

permission slips and telling students to
come.

As for community outreach, Victoria will be

announcing the screening to some of the
groups that work with Planned Parenthood.
I have also created:
A private FB event page,
A public EventBrite page where people can
register,
and printable posters.
I hope this all sounds okay!
