Format #1: Typewritten Script

The script must be typed double-spaced with black ink (blue URLs are acceptable).
Annotate all added words (introduction) in bold font. Number of added words: _________
All direct quotations used in the introduction must be in quotation marks and followed by an in-text source
citation in parentheses.
Any sources used for directly quoted outside material that are verbally mentioned in the speech must be
underlined in the script.
If using direct quotes, a separate typewritten Source Citation Page in black ink (blue URLs are acceptable)
must be included with the script.
The title of the selection within the piece should be italicized.

Format #2: Copy of the Original Source Material

Photocopy the title page and copyright page of the original source document from which the script was cut.
Photocopy each page in the original source document from which you used lines in your script.
Highlight only those words actually spoken on your photocopied pages. All words should be legible.
Do not cross out any words.

Competitor and Coach/Parent Certification
