This letter is written on behalf of Dr. Hartman for promotion to the rank of full professor.

My name is Gary Hazelwood and I'm the sports performance supervisor for the Sports
Medicine Institute, a division of Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System. In the two
years that I have held this position I have mentored interns from USC Upstate,
Limestone, Coastal Carolina, Clemson, UNC Ashville and Gardener-Web. I have
worked with Dr. Hartman for over a year now mentoring Gardener-Webb students
through our professional internship program and I have to say that the Gardener-Web
students have been the most prepared students for the workforce I have worked with
thus far. I have been highly impressed with the structure and guidance that students
receive from Dr. Hartman during their internships. The only professor or associate
professor that visits our work site during our internship program is Dr. Hartman.

As sole author of the exercise science curriculum at Gardner-Web University I think Dr.
Hartman is deserving of the recognition of a promotion. I've had the opportunity to work
in multiple exercise science related positions and I believe that Dr. Hartman's curriculum
is very well rounded in relation to the job opportunities in the field of exercise science.
