Our P&F Association exists to enrich the St Mary MacKillop Catholic Primary School experience of our children, their families and friends of our school community. Every
parent & carer is automatically a member of our P&F and everyone helps support our P&F either indirectly (by attending school events) or directly (by volunteering to help
out). We can help you find ways to become better connected with your school community through the work done by each of our P&F Teams or by connecting you with
important school services (such as our Tuckshop, Library, Uniform Shop, and Classroom Help) - all of which depend on volunteers to operate. Our P&F Executive Team is made
up of ordinary parents & friends who have taken on voluntary leadership roles to engage teams of parents & friends to turn P&F goals into realities. Heres an overview of
each of the teams, the sorts of activities they undertake and how you can become involved.

GROUNDS
Our P&F Grounds Team
supplements the brilliant
work done by our school
groundskeeper through
the organisation and
coordination of regular
mowing and working bee
activities. Our Grounds
Team works to install
new landscape elements
(playground equipment,
garden beds etc) as well as
maintaining existing ones.

EVENTS
Our P&F Events Team
carefully plans, prepares
for and organises
our school social and
fundraising events,
ensuring they are
considerate of the
principles of inclusion
and accessibility to
all members of our
school community. Our

donations to support our

Mary MacKillop P&FCommunity Participation Plan (CPP)

By vote at the General Meeting of 12th March, 2003 the Community Participation Plan or CPP was introduced following a successful trial in 2002. The CPPs purpose is
to raise funds for improvements to the school environment, raise awareness of volunteering opportunities and to provide an option for families to be rewarded for their
volunteering efforts via a rebate.
THE PLAN COMPRISES:
An annual levy of $90 paid by each family via school fees
A more structured approach to volunteer work done at the school
An opportunity for families to claim a rebate on this levy.
How does the Plan work?
By performing up to 9 hours of volunteer work in and around our school, families are entitled to claim a partial or full rebate on their annual CPP levy. All volunteers must
have completed the schools mandatory volunteer training and have a registered volunteer number. To complete this training please refer to thevolunteer informationon
this website or contact the school office. Unregistered volunteers are ineligible to make claims via the CPP.
Our P&F Association has created alist of suggested tasksthat could be performed by volunteers but there are no doubt others that constitute genuine school volunteer
work and we are happy for you to record these tasks for consideration under this program. All tasks on the list are paid at $10 per hour. For example, if you perform 9
hours (or more) of voluntary work you are eligible to claim the full rebate of $90. If you perform 5 hours you are eligible to claim a partial rebate of $50.
All claims must be submitted via theCPP Record Sheet. CPP Record Sheets are self-administered this means we trust you to keep your own records of the volunteer work
your family has performed.
CPP Record Sheets must be completed and submitted to the school office no later than the end of Term 3 each year. Claims received in Term 4 will not be accepted under
this plan.
