Rationale (Final)

I have chosen to write a letter to the producer of Fox News as a reply to a news
item. Personally I am strongly against media bias and this was a good outlet for
me to give my own opinion in a way of this creative assignment. By doing this,
you can really dig into the techniques Fox News used and track all the false
information down. This written task is based on part 2 language and mass
communication. This connects with our IB classes because over the last few
month we have discussed media bias and also talked about fox news in
particular.
This piece shows my understanding of how Fox News creates their content and in
which ways their content is biased. For example this item has a political bias and
brainwashes the audience with republican messages.
The audience for the written task is the producers of Fox News, this time not the
editor because this letter is not based upon a news article but on a news item
from TV. The purpose is to criticize Fox News for their way of making content and
persuading them into stopping making biased news. The letter is written in 2014,
1 day after the broadcasting of the program. The works main topic is media bias.
