Wikipedias Definition: Americanization is the process of an immigrant to the United States of
America becoming a person who shares American values, beliefs and customs and is assimilated
into American society.

These are terms that are popularly used in society to substitute cultures

Hawaiian Culture - Mahus in Hawaiian culture are highly looked upon and respected while in
the American culture they labeled them as Transgenders and Queers which completely
changes the meaning and definition of what Mahus represent. When the Europeans conquered
Hawaii they introduced Christianity and Mahus were frowned upon.

many different cultural traditions such as folkloric dance and being a part of a mariachi. To
others, I was viewed as super stereotypical even though it was a part of my culture. I was
learning to be culturally involved with my heritage but was labelled as a typical mexican. As if
my culture was nothing more than a stereotype when in reality, my
culture is a part of who I am and where I come from, it means more to me than most believe.

Absolutely wrong. It is true that most extremist Islamic Jihadist comprise minorities in the Arab
region , but majority of the muslim and Arab population are not different than any other culture
and share with the rest of humanity their love of life and peace. People view muslims as terrorists
because of how media penetrates muslims.Most people think that Islam is a country thats not

true. Islam is not a country it is a religion. There is no place on earth called Islam, no country,
city, town or village. Muslims are highly populated in the Middle East, North Africa (also
countries around that area) Pakistan, Afghanistan, South East Asia are also places with a lot of
Muslims.
