    Art Nouveau means "new art" and was an art movement from the 1890's. One of the movements that was appealing to me was the Artist's House movement.     there.OneofthemovementsthatwasappealingtomewasArtNouveau.ArtNouveau
    meansnewartandwasanartmovementfromthe1890s.Whatmakesthismovement
    uniqueisitswritingfont,howitincludesacircleineverypieceofart,howitisasymmetry,
    andhasfluidlines.AnArtNouveauartistnamed,AlphonseMucha,aCzechartist,wasa
    personwhousedArtNouveaucharacteristicstopainthisartwork.Oneofhispainting
    called,JobCigarettes,expresseshisdifferentpatternsandwordingheuses.Itportraysthe
    structureofthewomanshairandthecurveshedid.Thehairislongandshowsthe
    formationofthelinestomakethehairlookrealistic.

    Inaddition,anothermovementthatintriguedmewastheArtistsHousemovement.Myartist
    wasAndyWarhol,whowasaPopArtartist.Hecreatedmanypaintingsthat
    includedbrightcolorsandtookads,comics,headlines,andcompositedintoan
    artpiece.Asyoucansee,Mr.Warholtookasimplesoupcanandassembleda
    paintingwherethereismorethanonecanofsoup.Itcanbesimpleandbasic
    butthetypeofcolorsthisartistpickedmakestheowncanpopout.Inhis
    paintingsheusuallylikedtodrawandincludemultiplepaintingsofthesame
    object,orpersoninoneofhispieceofart.Thereasonhepaintedlikethiswas
    thathewantedtobeamachine.Hewantedtobeamachinethattakesoutrepetitiveobjectsofthe

    Everyartpiecehasitscharacteristicsandtechniques.TwotechniquesIlearnedwasbrush
    strokesandwatercoloring.IntheprojectofImpressionism,Ilearnedhowtodoshortbrushstrokesto
    displaythemovementofthesky,grass,orwhatevertypeofbackgroundI
    waspainting.Ilearnedhowtopaintthebrushstrokesindifferentdirections
    toshowmoremovement.Brushstrokesisimportantineverypainting
    dependingthemovementofartsomeoneistryingtoexhibit.Thesecond
    techniquewaswatercoloring.Lastyear,Ididthesameprojectofwater
    coloringbutthisyearIlearnedhowtomixandfadecertaincolors.Inmy
    painting,IdrewasoccerballbehindLionelMessi.Ilearnedhowtoputgrey
    areasaroundtheoutlineofthepentagons/octagonsandmixitwiththeblack
    tomakethesoccerballmorerealistic.Ilearnedhowtomakedifferentskincolorsandmakesomeparts
    ofMessisfacelighter.IlearnedmoretechniqueswithwatercoloringthisyearandoverallIknowthese
    techniquesIlearnedmyJunioryearwillhelpmelateron.
