Aardman research

Aardman animations is a British animation

studio. The company itself is based in Bristol
and is one of the most renowned animation
companies for stop motion clay animation,
especially Wallace and Gromit. The company
was founded in 1972 when Peter Lord and
David Sproxton registered the name Aardman
Animation after leaving university.

In the year 1985, they met Nick Park at the national film and television
school he was work on the first Wallace and Gromit film a Grand Day Out.
He joined the company full time after that in 1985. There next project was
in the year 1986 they created the stop motion music video for Peter
Gabriels Sledgehammer. In 1990, they won and Academy Award for Nick
Parks TV series Creature Comforts. They had further success in 1993
where Nick Park won an Oscar for their second Wallace and Gromit film
could the
Wong Trousers.

1995 they made another Wallace and Gromit film this being the 3rd one
called a close shave which wan anhother Oscar and in 200 they released
thir first full long film called Chicken Run it took more than 200
million in the box office

In 2005 Wallace and Gromit Curse of the Were Rabbit was

released and in 2007 their first CGI flushed away. They have
made many more films such as Arthur Christmas and Pirates!
They also made a well-received tv show called Shaun the sheep
which has just been made into a film.

Another thing the they do is they make advertising so they will be given
something to advertise and then they will make something for it they
dont have to be stop maotim or clay animation they could be a drawing
they have made in to an anitiom or it could be a cartoon that they have
made the reason that companys might use them is because it makes
there advert into something different and something people will
remember and the make a lot of things that people will rembar and with
aardman it makes it a lot more esxting for them and it can most of the
time be very humres for the watcher and if you make someone laugh then
they are going to want to watch it again and then they will member it
some exsamples of what they have done is the surf advert this is a
woshing up lided which they have made come to life and that adds a bit of
fun to it another one is change 4 life and this is a stop motion antiome one

of their more popular trats they work with many diffrnet agantcses to
make the adverts they will make adverts on anything that the agentc asks
them to make. Another reason that people ask them to make their adverts
is because they have a lot of skills and creative behind them so they can
really well and sokme of the brands they have worked for are change 4 life

One of the jobs that you can do would be a 3d model designer and what
they are is somone who makes all the msoled for the shows that they
make they would just have one person working on them they might even
have a time to biled the characters they will even be takes making the
stor boreds for the show as well when making the 3d modles you would
need to be very skilled and would need to be able to creat the same

modle with only a little bit of change in the modiel so this is a very asking
job
Another job that would be on something like this would be the director
and what they dicretoers job is to make sure that the set is running
smothely and that nothing is going wrong they have to direct the way that
the set has to go in and the way that its been made his job is to tell
people where something should go or how something should sound
Another job role is a set maker and what they di is they make the set that
somone has digined and they will make it the way that they have asked
and the sets are normal small so they will take a lot of detle and care for
them to be made so you would need to have passenc when makeig it and
you would need to be able to make them as well as possible
They have also been working on making their own game its a game
based on the popular tv show doctor who this game is a side scrolling
game in which you have got to keep on going though each mission and
differing a boss its a simple game in digein and not something you would
see on a consul its something you would most likely only see it on the
aardman website because its a smiple game
When they make a film they also make a lot of money their target audnice
is small children and with that they have got there partents and then they
will make more money becsue when they go and see the film they would
need to take there partes with them so that they can see it they make
972.1 million worldwide and average 163 million per film so they are
making lots of money when they have these films out there for people to
watch
