Participant Reflection Prompts for Phases 1,2 & 3

Think about the stage. As you think you may be able to organise your
reflections into different categories:
What did we do? Beyza, Can and Bura did a survey about our sub-category
areas with some university students. Gke did an interview with Seluk
Pehlivanolu who is the general president of TED.
How did we do it? Why did we do it this way? Beyza went to METU and did a
survey with students in there. Bura did a survey with his dorm-mates and Can
did a survey with his friends. We chose this way to learn different ideas about our
categories.
What knowledge have I learned or developed? Weve learnt that doing an
interview is not easy to do, but it is so effective way to learn different ideas.
What skills and attitudes have I learned or developed? We learnt how we can ask
questions and take answers effectively.
How can I apply my development during this phase to other learning situations?
We can use our development to learn different ideas about any topics.
How can I apply my development during this phase to other life situations? We
can do an interview or reportage with businessmen in our future job effectively.

Here are some questions to help prompt your reflection. Answer the
questions that you think are relevant to your experience. You are
welcome to add other reflections using the categories suggested
above.
What part(s) of this phase most surprised you? We saw that people have
interesting and different answers for our categories.
Which part(s) of the phase was the most fulfilling? What part was the least
fulfilling? What does this suggest about the way you work and learn? People gave
different answers to us, so our point of views about our topics expanded. This is
the most fulfilling part. However, we saw that some peoples answers cause
trouble to us, because their answers are not fulfilling enough to us.
Consider your experiences during the phase. How did you feel about the
experiences during the phase? How do you feel now? Describe any similarities or
differences. We were so excited and scared because of doing an interview, but
after doing our interviews, we saw that there is no scary things about doing an
interview.
What skills, knowledge and attitudes do you think you developed through this
phase? What does your performance in this phase suggest to you about your
strengths?

Our self-confidences were devoloped and we improved our skills of asking

question effectively.
What does your performance in this stage suggest to you about your
opportunities for development? We are able to work as a individual.
What did you learn from the phase about how you react? (Working in a team,
meeting deadlines, team responsibility, team creativity...) We learnt to work
individually.
Were any of the experiences of this phase familiar to you? Now that you have reflected on the phase what might you do differently in the
future? We should not only do an interview, but also do some research about our
categories.
What would you like to be able to do better? How could you improve in the
future? We should do more research about our categories and work hard.
How has studying / thinking about the topic material had an impact on your
thinking? These interviews expanded our points of views.
