Students will be able to express what ideal social policies should look like. The exploration of the goals and values underlying social policy will
help students to formulate a justification for not only the study of social policy but also its use in the development sphere. various definitions of
social policy as well as understand social policy as a developmental approach and a field of academic study.

The class will build on the overview by outlining that each definition contains certain key indicators. These definitions will be revisited and students will be
asked to identify the common themes in the definitions.

This will be facilitated by observing the Whatsapp group and other blogging/vlogging content
