Tube material

Specifies material from which tube is made. Select from a list of built-in materials, or specify the tubes
material density, thermal conductivity, elastic modulus, and allowable stress.
Required: No
Units: None
Default: Carbon steel
Xist supplies properties as a function of temperature for each built-in material and calculates
properties at
average hot and cold inlet temperatures.
Select the appropriate material from the Material list, or enter the tube material density, conductivity,
elastic modulus, and allowable stress. Xist uses these fields in heat transfer resistance, vibration, and
weight calculations.
Externally coated High Flux tubes are available in the following grades of carbon steel:
SA-192
SA-214
SA-179
SA-334 Gr1 (seamless or welded)
SA-334 Gr6 (seamless or welded)
SA-334 Gr3 (seamless only)
Internally coated High Flux tubes are available in the above grades of carbon steel, as well as in
stainless
steel and 90/10 copper-nickel.
