1. Computer

2. Desktop

3. Icon

A person or thing regarded as a

4. Shortcut

An accelerated way of doing or achieving


something.

5. Taskbar

A bar at the edge of the display of a


graphical user interface that allows quick
access to current or favorite applications.

6. Wallpaper

A pattern or picture used to represent the


desktop surface (screen background) in a
graphical user interface

7. Hardware

The machines, wiring, and other physical


components of a computer or other
electronic system.

8. Software

The programs and other operating


information used by a computer.

9. CPU

The CPU is the brains of the computer where


most calculations take place.

Modem

A combined device for modulation and


demodulation, for example, between the
digital data of a computer and the analog
signal of a telephone line.
