Tuning an LPG is not an easy task especially if it is a Closed Loop (With secondary ECU,

injectors and all). If it is a closed loop, better NOT to touch it because it needs some more
tools like Engine scanner, LPG exhaust checking machine etc.
If it is a open loop, you can try tuning by following the steps below.

Step 1. Identify a small screw towards the side on the bottom part of the converter (Idling adjustment
screw)
Step 2. Identify a Tap like device(Gas flow screw) on a tube which goes from the Top of converter to
the Air Box/carburetor.
Step 3. Identify a drain nut towards the under side of the converter.
Step 4. Make sure that you have very CLEAN air filter which is mandatory for good LPG performance.
If you have a very bad air filter, replace it or else clean it using a vacuum cleaner or an air blower.
Step 5. Keep a plastic cover towards the under side of the converter. Open the drain screw using a
plyer. If some thick liquid is flowing out of converter, let all the liquid flow out. Or else close the drain
nut properly and tightly.
Step 6. Start the engine.
Step 7. Slowly rotate the idling adjustment screw clockwise (for some models anticlockwise) so that
the engine speed increases (raises) a bit.
Step 8. Slowly rotate the Gas flow screw clockwise till the point when the engine is about to stall
(getting off)
Step 9. Slowly rotate the Gas flow screw Anti-clockwise till the point when the engine is about to stall
(getting off)
Step 10: Now between these points, try to get a point where the engine speed is maximum. In that
point, rotating the screw in either clockwise or anticlockwise would actually make the engine run
slower.
Step 11. Keep the Gas flow screw in that position and try to raise your car using your accelerator. DO
NOT RAISE SUDDENLY. Slowly raise it to the point which you feel that would be a little bit more than
your normal driving.
Step 12. If the engine raises smoothly without missing/backfiring/ shuddering, YOU DID A GOOD
JOB :) OR else call a technical expert from your locality and observe how he does.
Step 13. If Step 12 seems to be OK for you. You can rotate the idle adjustment screw to the opposite
direction in Step 1 to the point where the engine is about to stall.
Step 14. Stop at that point, try switch on your A/C. The engine should run even on A/C. If the engine
stalls while AC is on, You have to open the idle screw a bit.
Step 15. Take your car for a TEST RUN(open road is preferred) and run through all gears. Give some
sudden acceleration and check if there is any misfire. If it misfires, your tuning need optimization
which needs an expert.
Step 16. If all steps till 15 are OK, you have a good LPG tuner in you. have a good day.
